Message: Unto Us A Child is Born (12/22/2024)

Isaiah 9's Christmas prophecy promises that God will deliver his people from darkness to light and from oppression to peace through the birth of a divine child; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace; whose reign is secured not by human conquest but through the substitutionary suffering and resurrection described in Isaiah 53. The unresolved tension of Christmas longing amid present disappointment finds its answer in Christ, who brings glory through suffering.
