Greg Gilbert, Ezekiel 12 - 16

Working through Ezekiel 12-16, Gilbert argues that God always keeps his promises without exception; he fulfilled to the letter the covenant curses of judgment against unfaithful Israel (Zedekiah's capture, the false prophets exposed, the fruitless vine burned), and he will just as surely keep his promise in Ezekiel 16 to establish an everlasting covenant of forgiveness, a promise made possible only because the judgment Israel earned falls instead on Jesus at the cross.
