A sermon on Luke 16
Using the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus teaches three truths about death: judgment is immediate rather than delayed, the afterlife is a fully conscious experience of either comfort or torment, and a fixed, uncrossable chasm separates heaven and hell; truths that refute both Adventist soul-sleep/annihilationism and the Roman Catholic doctrine of purgatory.
