A sermon on Isaiah 49
Jesus, the eternal Son of God and true Israel, is the servant of Isaiah 49 to whom all peoples; not merely Israel; are called to listen, because his eternal calling, powerful war-making that brings peace, beauty, humiliation on the cross, resurrection exaltation, universal mission to the nations, and final triumph together prove he alone is worthy of our attention and trust rather than the competing voices of the world or self.
