In Jacob's final blessing over his twelve sons, God reveals that he sovereignly charts his people's story through both striving and blessing, so that whatever circumstance we find ourselves in; whether the consequence of our own sin or an undeserved trial; we are called to trust God's grace and direction rather than keep score of life as gain or loss.
